With a career spanning nearly two decades and decorated with several awards, nominationsand music certifications to her name, multi-platinum recording artist Fefe Dobson is a truerenaissance woman within the entertainment industry. Emerging as a pop / rock artist in theearly 2000’s, Fefe stood out among her contemporaries as an edgy black female outlier in anotherwise male dominated genre.

Her Platinum Certified (Gold in America) eponymous debut album (2003) was released tocritical acclaim, earning the 18 year old new girl on the music scene 4 consecutive top 10 radiosingles including 'Bye Bye Boyfriend,' 'Take Me Away' and 'Don't Go (Girls & Boys)'. The single‘Everything’ was a fan favorite that was featured on the soundtrack for Paramount Pictures hitteen comedy ‘The Perfect Score’ (2004). The album received multiple award nominationsincluding 2 JUNO Award nominations and catapulted the young pop / rock artist intointernational stardom as the album officially debuted at #1 on the Billboard HeatSeekers albumcharts and landed her an opening slot of Justin Timberlake’s 2004 Justified Tour across Europe.Upon returning to North America, Fefe dove into the acting world, appearing as one of herbiggest influences, the iconic Tina Turner on the hit NBC series American Dreams. As an accomplished songwriter Fefe has penned hit songs for the biggest names in pop musicincluding Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Jordin Sparks between releasing her own material forher follow up album 'Joy' (2010). Fefe's sophomore album was a breakout success with twoplatinum certified top 10 singles 'Ghost' and 'Stuttering' and the gold certified hit 'Can't Breathe,'a collaboration with legendary music producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, Pink Floyd) and guitar solo byrecording artist Orianthi.

In 2011, Fefe joined the cast of Sudz Sutherland’s independent film “Home Again” alongsideTatyana Ali and Stephen James, in the supporting role of Cherry C, which debuted at the worldrenowned Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2012. This feature film acting role earnedher a nomination at the 2012 Canadian Screen Award for Performance by an Actress in aSupporting Role.

To follow up the success of her album “Joy,” Fefe released several buzz singles intended for afuture project, including the radio singles “Legacy” which initially premiered on the hit teendrama series ‘Degrassi’ in the summer of 2013 and “In Better Hands” in 2014. In late 2014, Fefetook a hiatus from her own music projects to focus on writing behind the scenes for other artists, after relocating to Nashville, Tennessee.

During the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2019, Fefe alongside Canadian pop star Tyler Shawassembled some of Canada's biggest artists including Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne and BryanAdams for a charity single of the late Bill Withers' 'Lean On Me' which raised over $200K forCOVID-19 relief efforts in her native Canada.

In early 2020, Fefe teamed up with legendary songwriter and producer Linda Perry for 'WhiteLine Runaways' a song which was featured on the HBO MAX film 'Unpregnant' (2020)soundtrack. The two have also been working together on new original music for Fefe’sforthcoming album. The new project promises a return to Fefe’s pop/rock roots.International artists like Willow Smith and Olivia Rodrigo made a big impact in 2021 with theirrock driven pop anthems across social media and radio charts. This shift in sound among theyounger generation cracked the door back open for pioneers like Fefe to be reintroduced andacknowledged for the groundwork they laid years prior. As NYLON Magazine thoughtfullypointed out “Dobson inspired Black alternative kids who saw themselves in her.”Fefe’s new single is best described as a euphoric rush of passionate love driven by theheartbeat of synth, electric guitars and emphatic drum progression. Produced by Thomas“Tawgs” Salter (Walk Off The Earth, Mother Mother, Lights) and co-written by Cook Classics(Beyoncé, Ava Max, Panic! at the Disco), Negin Djafari (Drake, ZAYN, Lights) and Dobsonherself, the song was originally written back in 2012 about insatiable love. This marked Fefe’slong awaited return from the pop / rock artist as her first commercial music release in nearly 8years.

A brand new album is expected from Fefe Dobson this Spring / Summer 2023, a culmination ofher rock influencers and pop melodies blended together. Fans can expect a sound that theirfamiliar with and unifies Fefe’s earlier albums.
