“Pure, lively (and live) entertainment! It is remarkable to see two dozen children abandon their electronic devices to watch a live stage performance and, when prompted, hear their advice and warnings called out to the heroine. SNOWHITE at Santa Monica Playhouse provides such a theatrical (and non-CGI) experience.” Tolucan Times. It’s SNOWHITE, a captivating Rudie-DeCarlo musical fairytale for girls, boys, and young-at-heart audiences of all ages.
“Sure to delight, enchant and entertain!” LA SPLASH
A charming tale of companionship, coming-of-age, and the magical bond between mothers and daughters, SNOWHITE takes audiences on a magical adventure as everyone’s most beloved young heroine journeys to find herself, her mother, and her true destiny, aided by Seven Silly Companions and a Most Magical Mirror. No evil Stepmother here, no shadowy forests or villainous potions; just a wondrously humorous and touching story of friendship, dedication and discovery, as Snowhite, and the audience, learn that love does, indeed, conquer all, even though it can sometimes be found in the most unlikely places.
Modeled on the original 1812 Brothers Grimm tale, SNOWHITE examines stereotypes, familial bonds, ethics, friendship, the power of commitment, and the value of tolerance and understanding. Beautifully-detailed Medieval costumes by award-winning designer Ashley Hayes and sparkling special effects by James Cooper add to the historical authenticity of this exciting interactive family-friendly production.
Members of the internationally renowned Actors' Repertory Theatre Meghan Nealon (Into the Woods, Shakespeare’s Other Women), Cydne Moore (Beauty and the Beast, Absolutely Halloween) and Michala Peltz (No Returns, Absolutely Halloween), join guest artists Bethany Dream (Bye Bye Birdie, Gypsy), Krit Gough (Metamorphoses, Barefoot in the Park), Margot Leach (Call Me Kat, The Switch Up) and Filipina-American actress Julia Masterson (Evita, Circle Mirror Transformation) as Snowhite. Written & directed by Playhouse Co-Artistic Directors Chris DeCarlo and Evelyn Rudie.
Special birthday parties, hosted by gaily-costumed fairytale characters, are available for every performance. All current protocols are observed.
Santa Monica Playhouse, celebrating 63 years of continuous operation, is supported in part by the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Arts Commission, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, the Ahmanson Foundation, the Rotary Club Foundation and Playhouse PALS.

Satyajit Ray concludes the Calcutta Trilogy by tracing the downward spiral of a promising young man. After failing to enter the corporate workforce, Somnath (Pradip Mukherjee) strikes out on his own as a “middleman” and quickly discovers how much greasing is needed to turn the wheels of commerce. A panoramic underworld film, The Middleman starkly depicts the predatory snake pit of corrupt hustlers and traffickers who populate Calcutta’s crowded margins as Somnath slowly transitions from dealing in stationery and industrial chemicals to seedier merchandise.
DIRECTED/WRITTEN BY: Satyajit Ray. WITH: Pradip Mukherjee, Satya Banerjee, Dipankar Dey, Lily Chakravarti. 1975. 131 min. India. B&W. Bengali. 35mm. Restored by the Satyajit Ray Preservation Project in 1996 through a collaboration of the Academy Film Archive, the Merchant-Ivory Foundation and The Film Foundation. Have you ever thought of acupuncture as a weapon against aging? “This age-old healing practice is now becoming the new trend in natural facelifts,” says Dr. Marina Dabcevic, a registered acupuncturist with a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. Beauty gurus and wellness advocates are seeking non-invasive

alternatives to achieve their desired look and many are turning to Cosmetic or Facial Acupuncture. This non-toxic alternative to Botox encompasses an inner and outer wellness experience with many benefits and is now available at Awaken Now.

It won't work overnight. This is a specific 10 session protocol that is performed twice per week for 5 weeks. The reason being the dermis takes 4-5 weeks to regenerate. We need to continuously stimulate the dermis with micro-traumas caused by the hair-thin needles to build collagen and elastin to create long-lasting results. The best part... Dr. Marina recommends getting the 10 session Cosmetic Acupuncture protocol once every 2-5 years, if monthly facials are scheduled for regular maintenance.

You don't have to fear the needles. They are so small that you can barely see them. Although there are approximately 80 needles in your face, you will feel very relaxed listening to the soft music and the trickle of water from the nearby fountain. A serene experience in the most tranquil setting.

As an added bonus, Dr. Marina uses GM Collin Skincare products, prime partners of the Oscars. As part of your 10 sessions, you will get 3 facials with your choice of the following masks: a vitamin C mask which fills your skin with enough vitamin C to fight free radicals, strengthen the skin against sun damage, and boost collagen production to give you firmer, smoother skin; or an incredibly healing algae mask which hydrates, softens, and detoxifies the skin, replenishing it with essential vitamins and minerals.

Acupuncture has been practiced for centuries. It encourages the body to promote natural healing, alleviating aches and pains, promoting digestion, aiding in sleep, calming the mind, and now making you look younger! Dr. Marina is excited to be at the forefront of this wellness movement.
